lol, i have an Alpine CDA-7897, and i love it but its just way to complicated for me lol, i was wanting to see what you guys recommended for a cd player that has your normal treble,bass,and mid, controls. im wanting something good and strong but user friendly. and wonder what that alpine is worth.

Do you need USB? aux? How many amps are you using/plan on using?

well i want something that can push my components and coaxial, until i can get an amp later down the road, at most i will be running 2 amps.

well, from all im gathering the alpine i have is a bad *** once you learn how to use it.so idk im gonna have to think on it for a bit now lol, i know the eclipse i got the other day pushed my speakers perty good and it was easy to use, it was an old school one as well. eclipse 5443.

I got a CDA-9830 that has basic EQ settings and has an extra face!

I have been competing with this deck this year, I am about to switch it out for a CDA-9885/h701 combo.

I have an eclipse 8053. Has normal bass tremble all that and pro mode which is for fibe tuning. Has 8 vokt preouts too

Eclipse are nice, but the alpine is also a great unit. I would also suggest learning the head unit and getting familiar with it before just selling it off!
