well i have 2 SX's and a PA a3000db @ 2 ohms right now. should i wire them down to .5 ohms since imp. rise will bring it back up? im just scared to fry the amp and dont know if the warrenty will cover it

i wouldn't risk it man, if you do that that amp will get awfully hot and pretty soon might let out the "magic smoke" as i call it. lol

When I first installed mine I had it running at .5 ohms on accident. Ran fine for 3 days. Which is when I realized the subs were wired wrong. I then wired it correctly to 1.3 and checked it w/ a multimeter to be sure and it was. Next day I got about 1/2 way through a song which was the first time playing it since rewiring and the amp and one l7 were toast. It was odd and im not sure what it was caused from but I just thought id let you know. It was covered by warranty btw. Took about 2 weeks; they sent me a brand new one.

if theyre "dual 2's" youll be a bit above .5...being they arent really an even 2 ohms

alot of people have ran them at .5 before with no problems. even after imp rise you'll be closer to 1 ohm. just try it and see. play it for like 30 mins-1 hr and then check on it. if it's pretty hot, turn it off and you kno it wont' take it.
