im the same way as you...i bought the mts for loud *** daily, not to compete. sure ill compete a little here and there, but its mostly just daily. i dont wanna be breaking my subs tryin to hit the highest numbers and all that crap...

i dont get you bro? i mean your already so loud you cant listen to music comfortably 150+db so what if some guy can get 1 or 3 dbs louder? does this mean his dik bigger also? i dont think so.if you can bump loud and enjoy your bass chill , what does winning an spl comp get you apart from a $20 trophy which you can buy yourself for the cost of 10 feet of o-guage.

the devil seems to be using an AC, not TL.
btw, I'd tune higher for SPL....34hz(in your sig) seems a bit low.

maybe a swappable port: 1 for daily, 1 for SPL
who said it was a TL?

im not going for SPL per say, i just think it has more in it daily and on the meter

its not a 150+ its a cheap *** out of tune AC mic

id be pissed if i got beat by 2 12" p series too:furious:

guy on one of my explorer forums had a 96 x with 4 15" crossfire xt2's walled off and got beat by another x, same body style, with 2 12" sxs, subs up ports out, with less power i think. the wall had like 2kwrms, the sx's had like 1800wrms

was funny when we all flamed the guy with the wall:D

it was pretty tho, thats prally why...was all fibgerglassed n shit..

hahahaha lmfao & rolfl, tru tru,,,,if you are tooo loud and did not buy your equipment from them they turn you down, that is is, and they use An Audiocontrol meter. I did hear what brandon and soal was talking about, dude may be you can do something similar to a crx design, instead of a wall, do something like I have subs up and port back, just an idea I mean that is what Meade uses and he is pretty loud,,,,,,that is what I use ,,, but I am not loud nevermind

the devil

im going to figure it out, i am probably going to do a crx box before the next show, see how that goes, then go with a Wall if the crx does not do better

drc, that MT was pounding last night

anyone: good size box for MT 15 and amt of port area for a crx style

now they are in 4 cubes each with 65sq in port per sub @34hz

im thinking of upping it to 4.5 maybe or just leaving it at 4, keeping the tuning at around 34hz, whats a good amt of port area? i might leave it at 65per i didnt really notice any port noise

but back to the design table

yep audiocontrol meter, and I sit in my car and watch then turn the sensitivity down, I was pissed so I downloaded the audiocontrol instruction manual. and was asking them questions they had no idea on how to answer
they where playing with the sensetivity during or before the competition?

if it was during i would call them out on it and let every one know WTF was going on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Calibrated AC's with new mics are actualy very close to Term Lab readings as long as you dont do things like open the door/window because AC is diafram velocity dependant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they change the sens during the show, the guy running the meter behind the table looks up and sees who is is in the lane and then he adjust accordingly
Thats pretty messed up, OP if you are making a CRX style box to hit a higher db mark then you should tune higher than 34.
