Im new and need help

alright soo im just getting into car audio. im 17 and need some newb advice. I just spent like 8 hours putting a 2 rockford fosgate 12inch punch stage 1 subs into my car. They're only supposed to be able to handle 150rms. The problem is that the amp i ordered was the kenwood 7202 which puts out 150rms but they sent me the 7252 which puts out 170rms. I've read that the rockfords can handle a little more than they're rated at but i dont want to blow my subs. do you think they'll blow? i really cant afford to buy new ones at this point.

You will be fine. The subs will rarely see the max power unless you have the gains cranked and your volume cranked. Also, 20 watts is not going to make much of a difference at all.

Thank you for using "than" and "they're" correctly; I'm impressed to see that from a 17 year old (which is sad because we learn that shit in like 5th grade).

alright...how do i set my gains? I got it all done saturday night at about 12:00 and kicked my friends out and went to bed. I studied all day sunday...so now im here. I left everything how it came in the box on the amp, i havent changed anything. I think it had 3 settings on the amp, two of which were filters, and then the sensitivity setting. It says to check the specifications for the max power output or something for hu to find out but i couldnt find it... ive got the pioneer 4800 hu. Where can i find how to set my sensitivity?
