im gonna do a fiberglass box..

and i was wondering a couple things...

does the fiberglass hold onto the wood but just wetting the material on the box??

and can i just buy the kit at like autozone, or should i buy the stuff seperate??

i just stapled the glass mat to the wood then spread the resin over it

and the stuff at autozone should be good enough

fiberglass bonds well to wood.

though instead of buying your material from autozone which most likely will be Bondo brand i suggest you go to fiberglasssite.com to get your fiberglass. pick up 1.0oz to 1.5oz mat. it's easier to work with curved areas and such.

then purchase some resin at Uscompsite.com look for one called b-440 Premium polyester resin. its a great resin to work with. has very long work time and easy to mix with the given hardener.

then just go to home depot and pick up paint brushes and tape and all other materials you need.
