I'm confused

I just read from another forum, a chart that showed RMS per minimum amps from your battery. My battery is 935 amps I believe. And apparently that is only 500 RMS. I plan on running around 1.5kw, so I guess I'm screwed?

Battery not as important as alternator...

Still important, but your battery only supplies long draws of power. The alt recharges the batt and supplies extra current that the batt is not capable of.

x2...alternator is gonna be supplying the current when the engine is ON...battery helps out when there is a big draw (bass/subs) and when the engine is OFF.

By the by, I have a Kinetik HC2000 and run only 1000W RMS...IMHO it's overkill but I did it to minimize light dimming (along with the "Big 3") and for future upgrades.
