I'm a noob and need sub/wire help

i got a 600x2 rms 2 ohm stable amp, what kind of subs do i need and how do i wire them so they're getting 600 rms each?

Can you bridge it at 4ohm? You could get two dual voice coil (DVC) subs and wire them in Parallel so you get two seperate 2 ohm loads.

I can bridge it to 1200 rms at 4 ohm, but wouldnt that be the same as just runing 2 channels at 600 rms 2 ohm? Or is my understanding wrong?

no that is about the same I was just wondering becuase you could also get two svc 2 ohm subs then.

ok, u have a lot of versatility...u can get numerous diff. types of voice coil configurations. You could get one sub and send it 1200 watts @ 4ohms bridged...the sub would have to be either single voice coil 4ohm or dual voice coil 2ohm sub. With 2 subs, you could either get 2 single voice coil 2 ohm subs and send 600 watts from each channel to it...or 2 dual voice coil 4ohm subs and wire the voice coils of each sub to 2ohms and send 600 watts from each channel. Also, with 2 subs...two dual 4ohm can be wired to 4ohm birdged to give them a total of 1200 watts. What type of subs are u looking for...sq or spl?? and what is ur price range? and j/w what is ur amp? u can get a lot of help from here...peace

thanks a lot guys, its a legacy 2400 max, cheap amp with a lot of power. As for what kind of subs I want, I'm leaning more towards SQ because I have a chevy extended cab. Not much air in there. If you have any recomendations it would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about two audio bahn 12's, but like I said I'm new to this game. So if you pro's have any good suggestions. I'm looking to spend no more than 500-600 on the subs.
