Illinois: Cars with Loud Stereos to be Seized

I haven't heard about any ones cars getting impounded yet. I live in rockford right now and cops won't bother you unless your being stupid about it. I don't like the new rule but i'll have to live with it because there is nothing i can do about it.

Have you seen the front page or the Register star today?

Noise law: first day, frist impoundment.

Also says Chief Chet Epperson said residents can take license plate numbers of offending cars and officers will follow up.what a great way to put our tax dollars to use.

Yea i read the article today. It kinda made me laugh because whoever it was must have been being too cocky i think. He probably thought the cops wouldn't really follow up on the law. I'm just gonna lay low for a while and wait for everything to calm down. My stereo volume is gonna stay way down at stop lights and residential areas. Are you in rockford also?

I belive the person colud have been cocky, but rermember they are tring to make a point right now, so you never know.

I think they will target the westside and "weed and seed" areas mostly. As thats where alot of the complaints are from.

Yea i agree they are trying to make a point right now so they are gonna be strict, but alot of kids tend to get cocky. And i imagine they will target the westside mostly. The cops are on that side of town anyways. I think people just need to lay low for a while and let all the commotion come down.
