What brands would you carry? I know you're all sick of seeing the same old RF, JL, MTX, and Audiobahn shit. This is just a theoretical question of course, but I'd like to hear everyone's different ideas.

If it was me, I'd carry all the smaller name stuff that works much better then the mass produced products all the large name companies are. But the fact is that a shope that carried all underground brands wouldn't make any money at all. Stupid people like name brands. That's the hard part about making a realistic list of brands to carry you know? I'd like to carry higher end stuff as well like Audio Control, Arc, etcc etc. But not everyone wants to drop bank like that so there's another dead end in the money makin process.

First off, you have to carry what sells. Carrying all the quality products that aren't well known is fine and dandy, but if they don't sell, you can't stay in business.

Sell what will make you money and then carry some of the not so well known items and make sure to have a demo car with them in it.

what ever makes me the most money...but i'd use shit that i liked and all the demo cars would have powerbass, audiopipe, pioneer, alpine...shit that makes the cheddar

I would carry the name brands....gotta keep the store open.....

But I would also carry some of the lesser known stuff to show potential customers what's available and how they compare....and i would have everything i sold hooked up and able to be listened to.....not many people are just gonna drop a grand or more on your word.....some will, but more will buy if they can hear it

i would carry the more known brands....like mtx, jl, RF. For decks i would carry Pioneer premier, Eclipse and Clarion.

I would also keep a fair stock of good brands, like SI, ID, Diamond, IA, USamps, Zapco. Most of your money made will be from more known brands.

It would be nice to have 2 demo cars. 1 with more known brands and one wth high quality brands. If you can compare the two to a potential buyer, it would better your chance of selling high dollar stuff.

OK for a realistic shop I would be carrying MTX, JL Audio, Alpine, Pioneer and Clarion. That would cover the main population. Then I would also carry Eclipse, Focal and Audison. Thats it. If you could secure all those into your shop and build a reputation of being a reliable fair place to shop you would have a base to succeed. I might also substitute JL or MTX for Hertz if I wanted to carry something lesser known but still quality. Generally the ability to keep something exclusive helps make you money as well, so if I could drop something extremly mainstream like MTX and secure Hertz than that gives me a go to line. Its getting to the point in the industry that opening up a strictly audio shop is getting harder. If I was gonna jump into this I would be doing the tunning side as well.

Kicker, Kicker, Kicker, Kicker JL, Alpine, Eclipse, Clarion, Pioneer, and MTX. Just to pull people in, and I would probably carry RE, ID, DD and push those brands once they were in the store....

Edit....Id carry Memphis to, They have been good to us at the shop I work at....and I would carry Focal.
