If you upgrade to a HO alt, is it really necessary to upgrade your bat as well? Like say I upgrade to a 200 amp alt, and keep my stock bat, will I be fine, or should I just upgrade both, considering I will only rin my system when my car is running?

I went from a stock batt to yellow top and it made a world of diff when I did my alt.

You will be fine with a stock battery depending on how powerful your system is. Whats your setup? I would upgrade the battery if your going to upgrade the alternator but no you don't need to. If you have a really small battery it will make a big difference if you upgrade it with a bigger alt.

I'd say try upgrading the battery and doing a big three setup and see if it makes enough of a difference; if not then I would upgrade the alternator.

I have done big 3. Didnt help. My battery is a stupid little stock ( I dont know specs). And look at my sig for my setup info.

And if I kept my stock alt, and got a new battery, what happens when I have to charge that, and im running my system? My alt is still going to be maxing out.
