If you have an FI q please read

Ok so when my q was shipped to me it made a horrible rattle noise so I sent it back. The noise that it made before is gone but it still make some wierd noise but you can only hear this if your ear is near the subwoofer. Has anyone noticed their sub making wierd mechanical noises. Im not sure what if anything is wrong with my sub

Thats wierd, i use to have a FI Q 15" D2 off a DLS A6, not along ago. I sold it though, i never had that problem before...

Maybe, you should give them a call.

Make a video clip, see if you can capture that noise, and send it to them...

it sounds like tinsel slap....i have heard that Fi subs with the old style tinsels would slap pretty bad. they just recently changed the way they do the tinsels

My friend has an Fi Q 12 D2 and no mechanical noise whatsoever

no it has the new tinsels. Yea when I play it free air all you can really hear is the noise Im talking about

i would call them and see what they say. And ya a vid may be better in establishing the problem. hell, who knows they may have just reconed your old one and that isnt the problem...

hmmm, i would videotape it as stated above and send it in to Fi. from all i have heard, their customer service is great. I'm sure if you show them what you are talking about they will help you out

well Im not to fond of their customer service. I emailed at least 4 times asking what was wrong with it and he never did tell me replying that he didn't remember anything being wrong with it. I have hooked my amp up to other subs and this doesnt happen so I know it is something with to do with the subwoofer
