if you hate eminence, click here.

Yup, A properly setup active front stage can handle 150+ db easy. And probably cost comparably to 10-20 pairs of eminence...AND IT WILL SOUND GOOD.
I've personally never seen a single pair of 6.5's and tweets keep up with a tru 150db daily. It's almost been a shit ton of speakers, unless they are pro-audio drivers. And thats the thing, you think your pair of 6.5's are loud. I don't. I want something way louder.

Are you serious? Thats all yall been doing here. You say thet are sub par and we waste our money on them. You say they are full of distortion, even though we say they aren't... reread YOUR posts before you make an *** out of YOURSELF
I have attempted to have a civil discussion with you guys, but to no avail. I have backed up my argument with objective reasoning and analysis...all you guys have brought to the table is "I like it" or "it sounds good".

If you would like to actually have a civil argument, then be my guest but please refer to my original posts when you post. Please...please dont make shit up or assume things.

thats not true either......you simply have not been in a car w/ a proper setup.

My MB Quart Q's keep up w/ 145+ db EASILY, someyimes I wish I had MORE bass to keep up w/ them.

Its cool......you just like overkill. Just dont say it gets loud, clear, cheaper.....just doesnt happen.....you cant have that many speakers facing all 1 way, say it sounds clear, and try to make us believe. Your ears are just trained to hear crap.

Why doesen't it happen? I think you guys are just pissed that my shit is so loud and myself and everyone else thinks it sounds clean. All my speakers are not faced one way either. They are setup like a typical surround sytem.

You and your peeps have ears trained to listen to SHIT.

No...lol

Do you understand how much displacement is necessary for 150dB at 3khz and 100hz? (I am assuming we have 2 speakers, so the requirement drops down to 144dB and I am negating phase cancellation and other variables that we would normally have to overcome)

12,023cm^3 =144dB @ 100hz and 13cm^3 =144dB @ 3khz...100hz is in itself an extremely high xover point for a midbass. Lets assume 60hz which requires 33,396cm^3.

To put this into perspective, each of your 6.5" midbass (assuming 126cm^2) would need to have 265.05cm of linear xmax or 104". WOW!!!

Your hearing is incredibly more sensitive at higher frequencies as compared to sub bass (roughly 50dB+ more sensitive) and you will go deaf after prolonged exposure to 105-120dB.

You didn't understand my post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

SQ is basically non existent @ 150db...but at lower listening levels a properly setup active front stage will sound great.

Like I said, it's all about real world application to me. It's about what my ears and the ears of others that choose to sit in my car hear. You can sit there and read from a sound science book and try and make yourself look smarter all you want. You can sit there and think my speakers are this "invisible distortion" or whatever, I can care less. Stop trying to make it so complicated. They are speakers and you listin to them, thats it!
