There was a guy at dBdrag with a bunch of speakers in his door like that. He also had curved wall of (i think) L5s. He may be sponosred by hifonics or something, as he had hifonics amps in the doors.

He did bass race.

If I can find them, I got some pics. Might be your cup of tea. I thought it was a silly design, but my friend belivies Hifonics told him to do that so he could get a good discount on some amps.
