If you had a choice...

Well...as some of you know, I'm looking into getting a new truck. I do plan on test driving the ones that I am interested in, but figured I'd see what other people think. If you had the choice out of the following trucks, what would you take, and why?

-2000-2003 Nissan Pathfinder

-2001-2002 Chevy Blazer Xtreme/S-10 Xtreme

-2000-2002 Dodge Dakota R/T

Do you have any parts like bigger alts from your old Pathfinder that would fit on the new one?

The R/T has a nice motor but with the price of gas these days it gonna be expensive!

The alt probably wouldn't fit...but I wouldn't sweat spending $300 on a new alt anyway.

Whatever I get is going to have one helluva system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lol, space isn't much of a concern...but if I go with the S-10 or the Dakota, it will have to be an extended cab...I can't deal with a regular cab.

I'm really leaning towards the Pathfinder- while I haven't driven the Dakota or the S-10, I have driven a Blazer with the 4.3 and a Durango with a 5.7. I haven't gotten the chance to drive a 96+ Pathfinder yet, but I'd imaging there is a lot more pickup with the 3.0 vs. the newer 3.5's in there...

i would go blazer, just because i like suv's and i refuse to drive foreign cars. (yes i know most of american cars are made outside the US //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif )

are the extremes the ones with stripes and crap on them? if so i personally hate stripes. my tastes are like solid black, tinted windows, big chrome wheels. then again why the hell would you care what i think? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I worked in a high-volume garage for 9 years and saw, first hand, the shamingly superior build quality, engineering, and reliability of the Nissan, Toyota, Honda every day.

Sucks to say, because I'm a huge Patriot, passionate about American jobs, but I'd buy a Jap-based vehicle built by Japs and Americans way faster than I'd consider an American-designed/based vehicle built by and Mexican workers any day.

Its your quarter, though. You make the call.
