Do some major damage, dont listen to any of the news casters its been said before espcially when Katrina hit that if a hurricane like that hit galveston it would leave with more devastating results....theres no barriers at all so a small surge would wipe out the boardwalk....so everybody around here I would keep up to date with all this supposedly it could be a cat. 3 when it hits us im about 2 hours from galveston northeast of houston so im in the middle of the suspected path of the "Tropical Storm" which might be a hurricane not long from now...so ive got plans to go up to dallas where some of my family lives...so I wish for the best...hoping it wont become anything like the one that hit in 1900

For everybody on here from Houston im sure yall remember Tropical Storm Alice...it done damage, flooded...imagine a category 3 or bigger hurricane...i cant...so what are yall going to do? tommorow there suppose to have more information on where its going...i wish it would make a U turn

I thought it was going the Florida route and up to the Northeast? I read Jeb Bush forced evacuation of the Florida Keys; Or is it staying in the Gulf region?

if its hitting the keys chances are its moving to the gulf because they are west of florida.

I already went fishing this past weekend in Galveston..

I just hope the Hurricanes stay out of Marco Island this year and next, don't want it to fuk up our beach house..

Doubtful...hurricanes are on a 60 year periodic cycle of activity...we just happen be at the peak of it.

I doubt that global warming is going to impact hurricane #'s for at least a few more centuries...

well if you listen to the media they are trying to make it sound like this is something thats never happened before.....of course they will probably start saying its cause of global warming before to long....

Actually they said that the ozone was healing itself slowly, go figure.

I hope this one isn't a disaster like Katrina was.

It's only a CAT 2 as of yet. And the projected path is directlly up Texas. It's passing the keys right now.

On a side note, hell of an electrical storm we had here in Diego. I woke up to thunder @ 1am and thought I'de video the light show.

Here is a news pic. I got some great shots of massive lightning trails. Watching it about 8 miles away is pretty cool.
