If JL is good but overpriced, at what price point should they be?

It funny how people complain and such about money and say jl is overated, but i think alot of these "bargin Internet recones" aren't as good as I expected from what ive heard personally. Just because it has a huge basket and cost $250 and handle 1000,000 watts rms but is only rated a 1000 doesn't mean it's great, most come and go like the wind. I remember when RE was all the talk and how XXX was the w7 killer, RE is like mainstream now and the XXX cost the same if not more then a w7. I feel if you can afford a expensive sub then great, and if you can't then do bash a brand cause you think it's over priced and can't afford it so u go with brand x. The w7 doesn't need a remodel because it's not needed? What would u add to make a w7v2?????????? Not everyone wants a 100lbs 4 cub spl monster that someone will try to say has great sq too but doesnt.

Exactly! There is allways going to be some new company comming up that will charge less. I have been out of Car Audio for awhile and I am supprised how many people only care about SPL. Most of the internet companies subs look like garbage. A huge cast basket and an oversized motor that takes 5000 watts. Big deal.

Lets see these companies make it 25years, and continuously impove their products.

JL Audio is on the verge of most likely calling it quits.I worked/work at JL audio and they had to lay off so many people every month since nobody is demanding JL anymore because thier over price.As far as from the pictures taken on tour all those people are gone.And Mr.wanna be big shot of George Rodriguez he thinks he the s**t when he's not.He dosent do a **** thing but thinks he knows it all.The only time he ever moves off his *** is when theirs a tour thats why hes in almost all the pictures or background to convince people hes involved.In reality JL sells they w6/W7 lines to dealers at about $200-$500 and then they turn around and double the price.Ive always told them if you make affordable speakers then you would sell more but their response is "if people want to afford our speakers they can buy T.M.A products which is still from JL just not as good."

worked in production line and other places too.Instead of hiring enough workers to get the job done they would make people do double or even triple the work for so little pay.So i know form experience when i tell you what goes on in their.

Yeah the D9 Hex subs get real loud and low when they finally break in. Not sure they are better then a W7 but the D9 is a nice sub that you dont see often.

Anyone notice how much the new Boston SPG is similar to the D9 Hex? Except the SPG is rebuildable.
