IDQV3 12's sealed. Output?

Hey guys same ole questions. Just looking for some advice from people who have used these subs or can model them for me. I'm coming from my F150 that had the stock alt, 0 gauge throughout and the big 3. Amp was an Alpine M2000 running 2 12w6v2's sealed in 1.0ft^3 @ 4ohms (so 1500w) and I loved it but I know the ALT was a limiting factor. I prefer the frequency response of a sealed enclosure, no cabin gain to deal with and sounds nice and "can" get loud enough for me. HU is a Pioneer DD with an added DSP.

New truck most of the old system but I sold the JL's. I have access to a pair of IDQV3's (yes the newer post Eric ones) but they are brand new and relatively cheap. Enclosure is 1.2ft^3 - amp is an Arc Audio FD1200.1 @ 2ohms (still have the Alpine in my closet) I know the Q's will sound good in an SQ application, but almost everyone that says SQ then wants to pound their house down too. That's not me, but I am more of an SQL listener I guess. I just want to know what kind if output I can expect from these IDQ's on 1000w? I'm limited to about 7.5" mounting depth, and I'm running the ARC cause I don't want to have to do an ALT upgrade etc, just to make it too loud. Been there done that. All wiring is PURE copper 0g btw and I have done the big 3 in the new truck. I just want to know of I can expect it to kick hard (a la my 12w6's). Which was hard enough for me.

Im up for other recommendations, preferable around under $300 sub, sealed alignment and 1000w for the pair.... I know these IDQ's will sound good, but just wondering about output I guess. Fi Q's are down to around $300 but then we go with the bigger amp, alt upgrade etc etc.

So you want 2 SQ subs or 1 louder sub, like the Q?
Well... The SQ cars I've heard in competition had the bass turned waaaay down, I felt is was as much about transparency and blend, so to me at least, the sub wasn't a "featured" part of the equation so to speak. It was about trying to get the bass that was coming from subs ocated behind the driver to sound like it was part of the front stage. So to answer your question, I'd like an "accurate" sub, that can play anything, can be tuned to blend well and still have good output. For me, that was the W6... I'm just looking for something that can compare even if I give up a little in ouput. The W6's were too deep due to the pole vent, and I wouldn't want to shell out that kind of $$ for another set. I know I'm giving up some power due to the amp, but my enclosure will be a tad larger, and I'm hoping that might bolster the response down low. I'm not sure if I answered your question. And FWIW, It'd be 2 Q's - I've never heard them, but I've read great things about them, like sealed they can get super low. They are only 7" deep, have available High QT topologies, but again, power is the issue... Idk if 2000w (Alpine) would be sufficient. Do you have any experience with them?

I don't have experience with the Qs and I'm not sure whether 2kW would be enough for a pair. If you're going for SQ, get 1 of those. From what I've read, it'll be plenty loud. I think I have the set up you're after and essentially the same goals. I'm running 2 B2 audio REF12s in a 4 cu ft ported box tuned to 34Hz. They have pretty good output, but also sound good. They're 600W RMS woofers. I believe you can get them at xplicit audio for $320 each, if interested.

For the sub to blend into the front stage, I recommend doing a few things. I have the PS8, so it's easy to change x-over slopes and time alignment, but you can probably do with a cheaper alternative (audison bit ten?). You want to pick a crossover point and slope that still catches all the music you're looking for, but is not high enough to where the ear can detect the direction where the bass is coming from. The most important part of integrating the sub into the front stage is time alignment. You need to delay output of the entire front stage (how much delay will vary by vehicle/setup). I have just done this 2 days ago and I'm amazed. Before, I had the front stage play and the subs hit. Sounded good, but it wasn't very in sync. After delaying the entire front stage, the sub plays together with it and gives you the sense that the sub is most definitely in the front.

I think a properly constructed ported box would be paramount in your setup, as it will be able to deliver the SQ you want as well as the output. For SQ and front stage integration, I think time alignment is a must. Were you thinking of a DSP at all?

What enclosure size/type are you running? And what amp? Thank you..
Just a prefab sealed box I had laying around. A little over 2 cubes total. They are ran off of a zed kronos which is too much power but sounds incredible
