idmax suggestions

im redoin my system i just wanted to know some stuff again lol

first i got a acura rsx its a small car and most people on clubrsx.com say a w6v2 is overkill on my car

how loud do idmax get compared to other subs

and what are some other suggestions to an idmax that holds sq close to it and outputs more .... i heard the soundsplinter rpl are close but i dont want to spend 500 on subs

i wish to stay around 350$ish and less

an idmax should cost you $250 for a sinlge 12 my man. and they are in the same "bracket" as the 12w6v2 - but they get a little louder and can handle a bit more power.

if you think thats too much - you might want to look into the soundsplitner RLi, they are about half the price of the RLP\IDMax\w6 and will sound just as good in a VERY small sealed enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how would (2) 12" or 15" RE se compare in sq?

and how do idmax handle lows?

Idmax are very nice subs they are well known on the forum for being very accurate and more sq oriented. Idmax will handle the lows with ease, so will the Rl-p. If you have the money and want to be loud get the idmax they are very nice. I am SPL oriented so I cannot comment on the Rl-i or SE use the search you should come up with reviews. IMO the idmax will have more sq than the Rl-p in the right enclosure and can handle more power. What size sub(s) do you want 10" or 12" and one or two? And why would you switch from the three 10" w3's? What type of amp are you planing to run?

no such thing as overkill, better to have to much than to little IMO.

well my w3's are the old ones and way too punchy .. they sound great with rock

but they cant hit the low lows at all and with lows they tend to still be punchy and doenst sound good

i want a 1 or 2 sub setup preferably 12" there going in the side pannels when i make a custom box for them ... im going to invert it because the basket is to long ... should i make the box a tad bit smaller?

I love the SQ and power of my IDmax, I have one 12 sealed 1.35cu ft giving it close to 1500wrms with the gains turned down from a hifonics brutus 1500D.

That thing hits lows like no other and gets LOUD while doing it.

thanx for your opinion dmc ... how much did u pay for yours and where ... i can only fine them for 329$ for a 12" ... reg says they should only cost 250$

well, from what i recall, the idmax is on backorder. lol.

and anything from RE wont even compare from what ive heard.
