Idmax 12" rms

What's a safe upper range for this sub? I know it's rated 1k rms, but so is my Type X and it run it a bit past that. Just curious if I can throw power at it and not kill it.

From their history, I would not suggest going much over RMS. Not really needed and risking thermal.

The IDMax is one of my all time favorite overhung sub's, but they don't have quite the amount of DAF dialed into their design as say a Fi SSD for example.

Should do OK in the box in my sig? It's toward the lower end of their ported specs, but that's what I have right now. I'm directly swapping it for the alpine. I want to see what does better.

Should do ok In that box. I always had good results with low tunes for the max, but typically went with 2.5 cubes.

Well it does ok, but it seems like it's leaving a lot on the bottom end. I think I need a bigger box.
