Ideal Box Enclosure for 12" TC-1000

I just recently read that the tc-1000 doesn't have great lowend output. I owned a shiva and it had awesome lowend output. These are both considered SQ subs. I've heard good things about the tc1000, so does this mean that it must have a great high-end atleast, or is it a good sub because it's all-around.

What is the best size box for a 12" tc-1000 getting 400rms from a kicker zx400.1?

It will be playing mostly rap, hip/hop, and r&b. I do love my strong lows, if that will make a difference as to what size I should use. Space is not an issue. I'm definitey going sealed. I'm thinking 1.25 cu ft. Would there be a huge difference between 1.1cu ft and 1.25? how about 1.1 cu ft and 1.45?

If I remember it takes a 1.5cu ft sealed box.
