Well with my car finally coming out the shop from the damage it got a few months ago, I been thinking long and hard (no ****) about what im going to run subwise in the car. Then got an idea.
I drive a 04 Crown Vic, and if you know the trunk of the vic theirs a huge hump at the front of the trunk. Its a flat space directly under the rear deck. I measured and found out its roughtly 4 to 4.5 cubic feet there. I though about just cutting out the rear deck and use a pair of 12s ported there. They would prob be Sundown Nightshades since they like smaller boxes. I plan on making a new deck out of mdf, but with my 12s firing into the cabin reflecting off the rear window.
I like the idea, because I can do a false floor and keep my batteries and spare under it and still have most of my trunk space. And keep my backseat which I need for my GFs 3 year old girl.
Sounds like a good idea, or am I just working too much lol?
Yall give me some feedback.
