My bad, I just saw that as well. They must have just recently changed that, I remeber the spec sheet saying it is a recced sealed box sub only.

I thought they were too. Im thinking Im going to tune at 32Hz though and do a L shaped port and 45's in the corners.

ID always recommends sealed for most of their listeners.

Horseman I see youve got alot of iD experience. What would you recommend for the pair?

I really like how my DC Level 4 15" gets nice and low and still gets loud as what. Im trying to sort of achieve the same thing with smaller subs here.

i think the 30hz box should do teh trick for u.

keep in mind in no way shape or form will 8s equal the spl of 15s lol

Yes the IDs work well tuned low. Very nice drivers. I've used the 10s and 12s with good results.

I didnt think the ID subs would be as loud as a DC. Especially off of almost double the power. I just like some nice punchy low end bass.

ID 8d2v3 has the same xmax. Ive looked at the AA Assassin, SA-8, the SS RLi, and a few others. None fall within my price range. Ive already purchased the ID8D2v3's. They should be here Tuesday or Wednesday.
