Any body got info? Im looking for a pair of 8" subs that get decently loud and do good on music. These will almost guaranteed be in the recommended ported box.

They are both D2, so a final load of .5, 2, or 8 ohms. Each sub is rated for 150RMS, 300 peak. Ill be using them on my Cadence Z1200 rated for 500@2 or on my Cadence TXA3004 bridged for 300@4 ohms giving each sub 150RMS.

Any thoughts on if they can handle the Z1200@2 after imp rise and gains set correctly?

SA-8 is out of my price range for a pair. eD subs from what Ive read are junk. Ive even seen eD subs blow in the eD recommended box built to spec off of eDs sheet with eDs recommended amp. No thanks. Not to mention CS sucks.

I figured after imp rise on the Z1200 it would be fine at 2 ohms. Its rated for 500@2, but Ive heard its under rated. I figured about 175-225 realistically for each sub. I may be picking up another 4 channel too.

Id rather not say since I basically stole them from the guy.

iD's site rates them good for about 250RMS so I guess Ill run them at 2 ohms on my Z1200. After imp rise I should be good to go.

Anyone have real life experience with these?

There is no reccomended ported box for the id 8. It is a sealed box sub. With that being said, they kick the crap out of the e8, IN A SEALED BOX. I have run both and I love my id's. If you want ported 8, get something else.

And yes they will take the power @ 2ohms, in the recced sealed box

Yes there is. iDs manual for them says .6cuft at 34Hz.

actually there are 3 different ported boxes you can run the id8 in
