ID12V3...can they take more than recommended rms?

simple but stupid question...can the ID12v3 take more than its recommended wrms rating? at http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products_page.php?id=id&type=sub , the id12v3 is rated for 400wrms.

im running two of these in a 1.5cu ft sealed box and currently hooked up to a hifonics bx1000d. im thinking about selling the hifonics and get a true 1000wrms amp. but before i do, i wanted to make sure if these ID12v3's can take more than 400w a piece?

I would not go to much farther over rms, but if you are smart with the gains you should be ok

if my 3 IDv3's weren't sitting around my room taking up space, i'd let you know. but honestly, just by looking at the motor, i wouldn't think the sub would need or even WANT--for that matter--the extra power. image dynamics products aren't known to be underrated in the power ratings category...
