It's a pretty good daily bumping sub. Inefficient in that it'll take 2K to 2.5K to make it really come alive. It's better than average but not great in the SQ department in my opinion. What size are you looking? Thatll deternine enclosure size and of course price.

looking at 2 12's about 1500 total, or would recommend going another way with a different sub/setup

I like mine, I prefer the sound sealed. The output (15") is tremendous, but it does need some serious power.
