any of you guys have any views on one of these? theyre both in the price range im trying to figure out which has better SQ and can still get decently loud SEALED

i had 2 ported idmax's and they were too loud. i want to go for more of a clean sound.

probably will be powered off an ednine.1

Pricing aside, I would still go with the Q ID. Talk to Desertheat as he just down graded from the Max's to the new Q and he loves it, just as much as his Max's.

id max's are sold. im pretty much gonna go with an idq

i loved my max's so hopefully the q's will be cool. dont know if i should rock 2 500w amps or i ednine.1

is this for an IDQ v.3 12 inch? you could check out imagedynamicsusa.com. they give you recommended box specs.

Screw some 2x4's to the inside of the box to reduce the internal volume to the correct size.

Doesn't really matter, you are simply trying to take up space inside the box to reduce its internal volume. It can be a wall of 2x4's up one side, it can be a single 4x4 also used to brace.
