Just got them installed, and crossed them at 80hz with a 12db slope for the low end and 2,000 for the high end....holy shit. These aren't even "broken in" yet and they SLAM, midbass is so strong/tight you can feel it in your chest, and all three of my mirrors move. My doors are covered inside and out with Damplifier/Pro and partially sealed...

I have the gain set where I had my Dayton RS180's (except they were crossed at 80hz with 18db slope), and the OEM's are just soaking up the power like it's nothing (125 rms to each mid). I can get so much volume out of them, something that couldn't be said with the Daytons all the time.

Holy crap. I thought my Daytons hit hard, but there is absolutely NO comparison.

told you.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I know! Wish I would have bought them from you a few months back..but I has no monies at the time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

They sound "better" crossed at 2,000 instead of 2,500 like you suggested, any reason why? I have my tweeters crossed at 2,500 for the low end (Blaupunkt VC100's) and they loooooove it.

they are amazing, i wish i never sold mine. i may pick some more up for an active setup soon, and get rid of my comps...
Me too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, but ill get another set soon enough.

Probably because they don't have to work an extra 500hz? lol.

With a 12db slope, you're still hitting those higher notes.

What slope are your tweeters at? 18 or 12?

Mine were taking ~125wrms 63hz @ 24db. They would even take it down at 50hz but theres just no point to play them that low for the most part.

Have mine at 80hz @ 12db now. They sound the best for me here and they dont struggle at all down low.
