ID CD1e or cd1 pro

If it were me, Id place them parallel, not have one deeper in than the other. Even when playing with time alignment, having your speakers mounted symmetrically makes things much simpler.

If your concern is beaming, make sure to point them at your shins. They must be run off-axis.

I used 1/4" bolt (iirc) and wing-nuts for easy of tightening. on the left, it's strapped to an air vent using screws. the right side is bolted.

It really depends on your car.

See you have your horns more up front. mine will be further deeper back, and i dont see anything i could mount to. the only option i can do is create a small "rack" for it and mount it to that. that motor is heavy is what i am really worried about, i want it sturdy.

Yes I saw the pics of your dash. No I cant tell you how to mount your horns just by looking at them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Many people actually weld brackets under the dash to hold their horns.

what I also did was have a metal strap connected to a screw (that holds the horn motor to the body), bolted to the firewall.

i'll try to get pics.

OK I mounted the horns today. they are ghetto installed for right now so i could hear them. the passenger side i installed pretty correctly with plumbers strap. the driver side i didn't have enough strap left over so i had to use zip ties, i used a ton for that side.

First impressions: It sounds ok, will require some EQing no doubt. I am a little disappointed in stage height, i probably need to play with positioning some. Like when I listen to a song the drums are up on dash fine, but when it comes to vocals it seems like it is staying right below the top dash line, i need to lift the sound up some how....any ideas?

i would post pics but camera is not with me at the moment

Not at the moment.
I was running Illusion CH1 horns about 2 years ago.

Been thinking about switching back to horns again. If I did I would probably go with something like a B&C, BMS or Radian compression driver on the ID full body horns.

But right now I want to screw around with a 3-way frontstage a little bit.
Those same ones are about to go into my car in the next couple weeks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes Im aware its been 2+ years since I got them from you lol

Anyways to the OP, from everything I have heard, go with the pros. It's well worth it.
