My dad currently has a 1972 Dodge Challenger show vehicle running a infinite baffle setup.

The equipment has been installed for almost 10 years and contains

(2) 10" kicker comps on low power

car audio shop suggested

He wants to upgrade the subs to something more cutout for IB and add more power.

The trunk will be displayed and i'll have about 600 watts to work with.

Name some subs that will work well IB.

Now that that's taken care of, JL W6. Seriously. Perform extremely well in IB. I'd recommend that or:

Incriminator Audio Flatlyne

Image Dynamics IDQ or IDMAX

Ultra A-12 (link here)

Also, when talking about Infinite Baffle, you really want to maximize your cone area for best results. Is it possible for your dad to fit a pair of 12 or even 15" subs in his Challenger? Maximizing cone area on that 1K you have to give for the pair will definitely provide some tangible improvements.

Thanks for the suggestions but the only one that makes a 10" is IDQ or IDmax?

The reason for 10's is because the space odd shaped and tight

If that's the case, you'll have to strike the Flatlyne off the list as the smallest they make is a 12. Same goes for the Ultra. Would still wholeheartedly recommend the IDs and W6.

I also forgot about this little beauty right here, but again, you'd need to be able to fit 12s:

I'll go ahead and make the suggestion...

A pair of Fi IB3's. They're designed specifically for IB. They're rated for 550w when ran IB so they'd do well on 1k. You'd just have to be able to fit 12s

EDIT: Neo beat me to it with his post edit.

Well, I build the q's and max's... of the two the MAX wins. Higher excursion and motor force. Realize 1000rms is alot for IB.... the MAX's would do very well

And for that, Don, you're a hero. Do we get to see shallow Qs by the end of this year?

If I wasn't set on ScanSpeak Revelators for the next build, I would be much more interested. Glad to hear they're going into production as we've been waiting on an awesome set of comps since the XS were released.
