Im contemplating buying an IA 20.1 to run at 0.5 ohms on my RE SX 18's, but i need some opinions before i bite the bullet and buy one. The main two things im concerned about is my electrical system and the power output im gonna get.

anyways, i have the big 3 done in 1/0, a kinetik 800 under the hood, kinetik 2400 under the back seat, 1 run of 1/0 between the batteries, the kinetik 2400 is grounded to chassis/frame. I have a stock alternator (i believe 130amp)

The RE SX's are 1000RMS, and i would like to give them more around 1200RMS, and i hear the 20.1 is quite underrated. Can i expect to see a solid 2400RMS at 0.5ohms?

any input would be great!

From all the tests and reviews, the 20.1 is good for at least 2200w at 1ohm. I believe they get benched anywhere from 2200-2800 at 1ohm. you should have no problem getting that kind of power at .5ohm

ha....my next door neighbor ran his 20.1 off a tired g31 yellow top and stock alt.........AT .35!!!!!!

You should be more than fine....why not save up a lil and get a 40.1......them SXs would love it

You'll be perfectly fine. I ran mine @ 0.5 ohm daily for months with a stock alt, stock front batt, and Stinger SP1000 in the back and it was just fine.
