I went to three interviews at a BB. They told me they would call me but they never did. I didn't follow up because I didn't care. Their CA department was a joke. I knew more than the department manager did about amps.....I didn't really want the job after talking to that guy for 5 minutes.

If he can do an alarm decently then he is a better installer than you, being able to install an alarm shows you decently understand a vehicle and all its electronics workings.

However if neither of you can pass either the Mecp practice test at best buy neither of you should be installing period. Not trying to be rude but that test is sooo easy.

Yeah I lasted about 2 months at a BB, it was by far the worth f*cking job I ever had. All they wanted to do was pat themselves on the back about how great they were. I just thought to myself, if this shit is so great why am I making $9.00 an hour. My brother was a manager there for awhile, that was cool, got the discount without the hassle.

Also, forgot, one thing the new guy knows that i dont:

Installing the subs inverted, with no wires inside the box is the best possible way, because you dont have any terminals or anything in between the wire. I then said i just install my subs normal when i build a box, and run the wire directly through a hole, then seal it. Apparently my box building skills are garbage.

One more thing. He has an ext cab S-10. He has an audiobahn flame 15 or osmething inverted in a 10 cube box in the backseat, and the magnet is so strong itll **** the keys outta the ignition switch. Man I use to work for BB I quit 4 days ago. Pretty much for the same reasons. What your management team isn't telling you is that all the sistrict managers are about to restructure alot of things in stores. Therefore alot of your managers and supervisors, and seniors will be without a job. I left after finding this out. Plus I found out that in my area CA and install are all being moved to the newest store and cancelled out at the others. Alarms are easy since they probably have a program that tells you where all the wires you need are, without that program im sure most installers would have no idea what to do.
