American Bass has a few cheap lines, xd xo and dx. In the 80$ range

I know but I asked about those before and was told they aren't loud enough to compare to my hp and I should look at cab, sundown e or lcs or fu 750 or 300., I may just need slightly smaller lower tuned box for my hp been thinking about it (it's a little boomy) but it's very old too, that's y I thought I'd just get a sub that requires little bigger box as cheap as possible (unless I can sell box with sub around here for like $200, then I'd get sundown or cab and box)

If you want louder than your current sub, i dont think a cheapie will do it. The new E v3 is the smallest sub id consider in your case. But you really should be thinking about a 750, or SA etc

but even if I got a 750 would my amp push it? and louder is always fine but I really want deeper, cleaner, I could save $ and just get a sealed box lol., or lower tuned ported that I'm shopping for now.. whats diff between e v2 and v3? they have same vc, xmax and rms..

A sealed box is not going to play louder,deeper,lower. U want a good ported box. A woofer is only going to play as good as the enclosure will let it... maybe u should get a new enclosure and then if your still not happy get a new woofer.

yeah getting ready to order box says 33hz math comes out to 35 (after sub) so they pretty accurate., thing is I thought my hp recommended 1.75-2 cf box (1.81cf ad) which I had left from my pioneer (perfect for it) can't find my orion manual, saw on post somewhere it takes 2cf but online manual says 1.45 cf so my box is to big for power I have now I think (like I said boomy) so for my sub I'm getting box that works out to 1.56cf ad (it says 1.75 but I have a calculator) should be good but if I change to any of these other subs they will want more air so kinda screwed if I get smaller box and aint happy, well I'd still have other box but it's tuned to high since I cut port probably 40hz now (loud though).. I could screw plywood into slot port (against box wall) make port smaller tune lower is another thing to try, port calc says it works..

Why would u buy a box u would have to screw wood on the port to make it the way u want it? Just buy the correct box

Why would u buy a box u would have to screw wood on the port to make it the way u want it? Just buy the correct box

WOW that is a nice box (doesn't say how long port is) but it says tuned to 32 one I'm getting says 33 but is really right at 35hz which is better for me my sig say my box is 36hz (but I forgot years ago I cut port) so now it's 41hz so 35 will be great.. also that box is just to big for my sub.. it actually need less air than it has now (1.81 need 1.5).. IF I had a table saw I'd cut 2 boxes I have and make 3 good boxes out of them (1 would be small sealed).. sorry didn't see your question,, I just have the autotek which sounds like it's 550rms (quite a bit louder than my crossfire @ 8ohm which I know is 350rms).. not like I'm gonna compete I just want pretty deep smooth sound, less boomy which smaller box tuned lower would do that, also I drove some today and my hp in box I have is actually too loud for me on a few songs so I'm not needing something tons louder., just new that maybe work little better in my 1.8 cf box than hp (need 1.5 I think) and a vc that won't melt on me or cone wont over excurte with amp I have not another 1000 rms amp (cause I won't ever have one).. sub I have is fine I'm not saying it ain't good I just like new stuff ya'll don't understand If I was rich I'd have 10 different subs in 10 different boxes many would be $100 subs just to try them out., cause I used to do that for free when I worked at stereo shop, took my dual orion xtr 12" ported box out to put in 2 power bass 10's sealed (used to be fultron) sealed for a week just to hear them (we sold both 10's in box for $199) of course shop sold my orions while they were on the floor lol, so I got new stuff every 1-3 months.. I've had hp for like 7-8 yrs now..
