i want to upgrade the speakers in my 350z without spending a lot...which ones????????

yes just dont worry about the back ones ,leave them on the deck power as a rear fill.also an amp will be best ,to get the best performance out of your new comps.and at least for budget i'd be looking looking at 250 or more plus shipping for a nice set,it will make a big difference ,also you'll wanna mat the doors.look at cdt ,also boston pro series, rainbow, hat, hertz, audison, and focal to start with

what i would suggest is upgrade your sub with an amp and upgrade your tweeters and then drive on it for a while until you get more money to change the doors. Bose isnt bad on mids but their tweeters are junk. I have a bose system in my CX-9 and this is what i did, you might also have a Bose Sub, you might want to disconnect that or let it run with your new sub. The thing you need to do is small upgrades and listen to see if you need more. hope this helps

an amp and frt door components, and deck first, then maybe a sub.the stock speaker systems are designed to sound good on just a tiny bit power, but the actual speakers aren't that good .so start there .

When I change just the front speakers should I change the fader to play more in the front?
What's the difference between components and 2 and 3 way
Coaxial speakers are the ones you usually see on the sound boards at best buy. They are just a 4,6, or 6x9 ect. some are 2,3, or even 4 way. This means it has tweeters in the middle of the cone.

Component speakers are a mid range like 4, 5.25, 6.5, ect with a seperate tweeter to be mounted seperately. They also some with a passive crossover to send the proper frequences to the speakers. 2 way componants are 2 speakers. 3 way are 3 speakers. They are usually 6.5, 4in, and a tweeter. So you have a low mid, mid and tweeter.

It depends on the level of upgrade you want. A vender has $75 massive audio components right now in the classifieds. Woofersetc.com has some Image Dymanic componants that get good reviews on sale for $160. To tell what speakers work with you amp you need to look at the power rating of the amp and what the speakers can handle. It is alright to use an amp that is a little over powered for your speakers. You don't have to turn it up as much so the amp isn't trying all the time. It is called headroom.
