That's the thing. They are rarely equalIt's been proven time and again that you can not hear the difference when all things are equal.
I am smarter than that. Who doesnt use processing? Nobody tosses in an amp, sets it to flat, set gains not to clip, and doesnt touch their headunit. This test your proposing is not a real world test or application. And man I'm disappointed in you! I thought you were smarter than that!
It has actually NEVER been proven. We aren't talking a clipped signal, we are talking a clean watt. And you can't hear efficiency as long as you can provide the electrical the amp needs.its easy if you know what to look/listen for. efficiency plays a big role in it. so does distortion. carry on with your shenanigans but its been proven 100000 times over.
Touch your head unit all you want, I'm simply talking a pure watt from an amplifier.I am smarter than that. Who doesnt use processing? Nobody tosses in an amp, sets it to flat, set gains not to clip, and doesnt touch their headunit. This test your proposing is not a real world test or application.
Not when build quality is in the mix. It has to be part of the discussion. There is no way around itThey are equal within clipping range and no processing. No one is arguing build quality because that's easy to distinguish.
Actually there is. If I'm willing to buy a new 100 amp every year vs. a 500 dollar amp once, that issue is moot. Being the devils advocate here, because I do appreciate build quality. But I'm willing to bet a lot of amps that are considered pieces of **** come from the same build house as some forum boner amps. No offense to the **** or the boners. Not when build quality is in the mix. It has to be part of the discussion. There is no way around it
Are you willing to swap amps every 10 minutes. Cause that's about as long as low quality will keep its max performance. Soon as some heat enters the equation it's overActually there is.
