I'm getting a new alternator pulley (have to ship it to me, I live in a hicktown) but I still want to be able to up my voltage. I doubt that the new pulley will get it above 13.8 (since that's what my car does at max if I'm pushing 4000+ RPMs) so I wanna up the voltage somehow. What would be the easiest way to do this, to buy an external regulator or to modify the internal regulator, or what might I have to do? I'd like to get the voltage to 15 volts and it probably won't make much of an audible difference with the amps (they should put out the same power whatever the voltage is so long as the signal strength is the same) but it should keep them safe from drawing too many amps and also make my headlights brighter, etc.

Car is a 1993 Honda Accord, I had trouble finding a regulator for it before because Hondas have a weird regulator or something I was told?

Already have an H/O alternator.

And it was missing link I've checked before, their site says

We will be adding other Asian Imports as we can. Honda continues to use the LRC module in their cars, which limits what we can do with the Honda system. At this point your best choice for a Honda is to add a second alternator. Please feel free to contact us with other Import needs. The only way we know where to focus our research time is from your feedback.

I was looking for that thread! Couldn't think how the life of me to find it though, I searched for "custom voltage module" how did you do that? I'm trying to read through the thread, but I'm running at the speed of dial-up! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Edit: I'm assuming I'd need to take the alternator apart for what you did, otherwise how did you do it?

I know you made the thread, but the thread doesn't explain how you got it to charge at 15 volts. I see some kinda module with 1 wire going into it and 2 going out but other than that I have no idea what you did.

Yes I drive a Honda, as was already stated twice in the thread.

And why would they need to mess with the computer to get the alternator voltage to change?

My stock alternator is a Denso and says "Regulator built in". Does that mean that if I followed this

http://www.smartgauge.co.uk/alt_mod.html

I could up the voltage? Otherwise what is the LRC module that Missing Link is talking about?

If someone can help me figure out how to up the voltage I suppose I could make it worth your while //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

So does anyone know anything about upping the voltage on a Honda? So many people have stereos in them it must be doable.
