I thought I had something!!!

the T3 is made by T3 audio (jonathan demuth) and there are tons of people using the 99z as a daily driver and if you ask jassa he will tell you first hand its a very musical driver, and lastly thats the msrp price, how about call an ask if you dont have a dealer. The 95 series wasnt supposed to be a daily driver sub either, but look at it!!

Yep, just like 'tons' of people run MT's daily, and Solo X's, etc etc. Its a wonder we use any of those pesky daily or SQ subs at all, these things do it all... SPL burps, SQL, heck they're all very musuical drivers, just ask their owners. Oh yeah they all claim they are "musical drivers", thats a pretty popular term these days for 'sounds bad but cant admit it to myself cuz it cost more than the actual car'.

A quick look at the 99Z's specs will show... oops that's right, DD wont release their specs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I guess he could just toss it in a huge box and hope for the best, Im sure whatever he gets will sound 'very musical'.

The simple fact you think 9500's, as superb as they are in their field (SPL), are a shining example of an SPL sub that excels in DD life just shows your lack of concern for flat response and 'musicality' in a DD sub. Dont get me wrong, a 9500 can sound decent (Ive hard them sound... eh decent), and I have TONS of respect for them in the SPL lanes, but they are no example of a SQ award winner by any means. Nice try. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I totally understand your view point, but this guys request isnt easy, he is basically asking for an SQ woofer that acts like an SPL driver, perhaps the 35series would be a better choice, TC is probably what most will say, perhaps the crystal cmp? Either or if your not looking to compete in SQ comps then being loud is easy...

You are describing 'SQL'. There are alot of competent SQL drivers out there these days. And IMO, DD doesn't make any of them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
SQL is a term that gets used too much these dyas. It originally popped up as a way to describe the new niche in the market the new 'supersubs' being developed were intended to fill. W7's and IDMaxes were some of the first subs to be described in this fashion... perhaps they would be a good starting point to consider. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
