I think my current head unit sucks!!??

right now i have a panasonic cq-df802u, here are the specs for it.

right now i have alpine type R speakers and they are hooked up to an alpine mrp-f240, and im just not getting the sound i desire. Im not a really big audio guy but i do like my music loud and clear and it seems every time i take the volume above 25 which is slightly more than 3/4 volume the speakers get fuzzy. is it the headunit? maybe the amp, or speakers?? i need help diagnosing the problem so i can fix it!!!

sounds like you need to tune your amp out better. set all of your head unit eq's to flat, turn the gain down on your amp completely. turn your HU up to 75% volume and slowly adjust your gain on your amp until you hear distortion. when you do back off just a tad. then set your EQ's again in your HU. this should do it
