i think mine is taking two dumps on me..the battery died once last night, drove it home with no music playing, started it up this morning and the battery was still dead. SOOOOOOOOO since ill be getting a new alternator, why not upgrade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif where should i buy one? i drive a 98 civic ex. the system i have now is a 15" xxx and a hifonics 1505d.

well simply driving it home wont charge the batt back up....for me it takes like 1 hour to get a good charge on my optima from my alt....give it more time to charge

This would be a great excuse to upgrade to a high output alternator!! I just bought one on ebay for $250 and ill be gettin it in 3-5 days, the one for your car might be cheaper. If you cant find one there, go to http://www.h-o-alternators.com or http://www.stingerelectronics.com/web/prods/alternators.asp . My stock Alt is 75 amp, the new one is 170. I had a feeling i was killing my alt so instead of constant replacement, i figured id get a badazz H.O. Good luck!!

welll ummm..i drove to my gf's after school..3:20 pm..didnt go anywhere..watched the lightning game..go home @ 10..the car doesnt even crank..get a jump, go home..turn the car off. try to turn it back on, doesnt crank..any ideas?

your battery is dead, and your alt is fried. try to get your car to start again, then feel your alt. you will find that it is hot as hell. at least that is what happened with my dead alt.

i got a 99 accord and im about to upgrade my alt also. i will probably get mines through iraggi cause he gave me about the best price and heard his alts r the shit. Yea i got two SX 12's and im bout to run my amp at .5 ohm and thats goin to have sum serious draw so im going to upgrade the alt and do a big three wit 0 gauge wire

but on ebay you run the risk of no warranty, defective alt, etc. on this, it's better to go for a well-known/reliable/trusting company.
