I think I hurt my ouput by cutting my wires. I need some advice.

I think it may be the speaker terminals, I had to cut some of the wire strands to make it fit. Did that hurt my install???

This is what the speaker terminals look like

I cut off like 3/4ths of the wire, and put it through that hole, and kinda tied it around... Now, I have subs which are twice as powerful as my old ones, and are 15's instead of 12's, and the 12's were louder

I'm thinking that that might be the problem. I was also thinking that I might be better off if I like try and wrap the speaker wire around the whole thing like a coil, will that work?

****, so I guess I'm just stuck...

Could it possibly be something else wrong with the wiring, to the point where I'm not getting full power to the subs?
