Ok....Thanks to Moe Lester for telling to me relook everything over and start with the Ports first. I Finally came up with this figure for my XXX 12. Please take a Look and tell me it if this is CORRECT. it will be 2.8@33hz. please give me any feedback. Thanks.

how tall is the enclosure/port?

edit:nm i figured it out, if your box is 15.5" tall and the port is 14" tall then your figures are very close. enjoy your new xxx!

as of rite now i got for that box the dimension is 15 x 35 x 15...

well, that changes something. according to my calculations(it's still early, so...), that makes you box 2.74cuft @ ~33.8hz.

my guess earlier made the box 2.84cuft @ ~33.8hz

either way i think it'll bump. re suggests 2.1cuft @ 28hz so i'm assuming you're trying to get more bump and less sq.

I want a lil of both...according to RE that should be for SQ i thought if i put it at 33 i would still get SQ with a lil more of the booM... right?

IME, u'll also get better sq outa the xxx with the higher tuning...but i went with smaller box...2ft^3 tuned to 34hz. in the re recommend 2.5ft^3 w/30hz tuning, the xxx sucked. period. it was muddy, wasn't loud and the transistions were horrible (the rl-p faired the same) but once the box was slugged to make the smaller higher tuned version, both subs came alive.

i'd imagine the xxx will like the bigger box with the higher tuning.

thanks mrray... i read your reviews, it was interesting. I was thinking about the rl-p, but i didnt want to waste up the oppurturnity in the group buy. Plus, i want to be first (that i know of) to have a XXX sub in the area... anyone else want to comment of this?

first with the group buy you only get 10% off after $100 of group buy, even with 10% off i think the SS would still be cheaper.... and who do youknow that has a RL-p???
