I think I got the VIRUSS!! computer wont safe mode!!

I think something happened to my pc when I was at work. I came home to it restarting and restarting and restarting.

Its kinda old but its running xp and is a hewlitt packard.

It loads until the little scrolling windows sign then just reboots itself, Ive tried hitting all the keys and I cant remember how to safe mode it or whatever its gonna take for me to get it started normal

Or how it was a day ago or something

Any help?? Ive only got about 2 hours of battery life in this laptop lol!!

I think I may have this virus everyone has, i try to restart and press f8 to get it to safe mode but it wont give me that option

Goob strikes again.

I finally had to reformat and re-install Windows. Malwarebytes, Avast, Avira, Spybot, just couldn't rid my PC of whatever it was CA was handing out that particular day. Forgot how fast my PC used to be, lol.

ya I havent made a backup of all my pictures in a couple months so Im hoping not to have to reformat ATLEAST until I can get it running

I cant seem to get it to load in safe mode, I can click all of the safe mode startup options (safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command proompt)

and it always leads to my pc rebooting, I may just not know what Im doing lol, but Id love some help to get this going so I can get my files.

I also tried the f8 menu option " disable auto restart on system failure " and the thing game me the blue screen and said fatal system error or something

What can I do?
