I smashed my antenna wire

Well I was working on my accord today and I smashed the antenna wire right at the plug in for the cd player

Is there a fix for this can I buy a plug and wire it to the antenna wire

Or do I need a new wire and antenna

Could I go and cut a plug off another one and solder it to the wire

not really sure about that one... you may be able to cut the smashed part out and fix it... just make sure its all connected back the right way. it probably looks like a coax cable inside.

You can cut the wire and solder a new one on, but you are going to see decreased reception. Normally most auto makers have a two piece antenna wire and you can replace one section with one from Auto Zone. Look behind your glovebox and see if there is a connection there. On every vehicle I have owned there has been one either behind the glovebox or near the top of the kick panel.

Look here. You can see an exploded view of your exact car. On mine, there is short length that runs from the radio to the passenger kick - $22.00.
