I smashed my antenna wire

not really sure about that one... you may be able to cut the smashed part out and fix it... just make sure its all connected back the right way. it probably looks like a coax cable inside.

 
You can cut the wire and solder a new one on, but you are going to see decreased reception. Normally most auto makers have a two piece antenna wire and you can replace one section with one from Auto Zone. Look behind your glovebox and see if there is a connection there. On every vehicle I have owned there has been one either behind the glovebox or near the top of the kick panel.
