I repaired my first amp :-)

might better take some electrical engineering to figure out how stuff works together and learn how voltages and amperages change as it goes through a component of a certain size/rating i half assed my last two simesters of college in electrical engineering and i still learned alot.
Yea, i know a little bit about how stuff works, how to read resistors and use relays and basic shit like that. I have a few books on it, and 3 mecp books that i read through sometimes. Ive taken some computer engineering classes in the local community college but decided that wasnt the route i wanted to go, i guess ill go back to school soon i just dont know what for.

You're 18, you can't spell semester, and you just finished going to college for electrical engineering? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

thats the spirit, just throw it on the floor, thatll fix it....dont worry man i wouldve done the same thing, electrnics are cool and what not but good god they can be frustrating little fuc*kers at times

You resolder a resistor and you think you fix amps now? hahahaah
Gotta love guys in car audio..

"I fixed 1 amp or installed 1 system and now i'm doing all my buddies! i'm a pro!"
dick? and i know why....U MAD

I guarantee you there's more stuff wrong than you can see...
If you don't have an o-scope... you can not truly repair amps.

^^ what he said

In my job all I do all day is play with o-scopes , spec an's, pulse gen's, multiplexers, ect.. ect... When troubleshooting and sweeping a path of components you need ATLEAST a spectrum analyzer to even see the loss or amplification of the signal... then you need a reference sheet to compare the output to its original specs to see if its bad or still within serviceable limits. I'm not at the engineering level by anymeans, but I know a thing or two about troubleshooting electronics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
