Perhaps if you're only running a game at once. Now he can be converting videos / audios to different formats, running a server and playing a video game at once and probably only hit 30-40% CPU usage =P Still maybe overkill for some, I call it futureproofing, that build should last him 6+ years or more easy (as long as he doesnt get too powerhungry overclocking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), especially considering hardware is already ahead of most softwareAll this will be useful once a game actually supports anything above dual core. It a good bench rig I guess.
It will not last him 6 years it will be outdated within a matter of months not years. I doubt he has sli 570's for anything other then gaming.. Sure they can be used for other things but mostly just gaming. Nice rig for sure.Perhaps if you're only running a game at once. Its true, you've done just about as much to promote world peace as Obama.i'm pretty sure it wont be outdated in months lol.. i'm guess it will last somewhere between "months" and 6 years. I'm sure I'll be happy with it for a while.
I got the 570s to fold and cure some disease. Then i'll get a nobel peace prize and me and Obama gonna have lunch and shiz. i got it all planned out.
Just because something's outdated doesn't mean it blows up or spontaneously combusts when it's outdated. That rig will LAST, keyword last, years easily. In the computer world sure it'll be outdated in a month, even when new/better parts come out and new games it's likely that rig will be able to play them on high or even max settings. I built my last personal gaming rig 5 years ago and I'm just now getting around to building a new one, since then I've added HD space and did a memory upgrade, and it still plays modern games on low/medium settings. I know it's nothing to brag about but I'm just saying it'll last him a good while considering hardware out right now takes about anything you throw at it.It will not last him 6 years it will be outdated within a matter of months not years.
