I can boot at 5.5ghz with just a voltage increase... but it fails in stress testing.. betting i can get it stable with a little work.

All this will be useful once a game actually supports anything above dual core. It a good bench rig I guess.

Perhaps if you're only running a game at once. Now he can be converting videos / audios to different formats, running a server and playing a video game at once and probably only hit 30-40% CPU usage =P Still maybe overkill for some, I call it futureproofing, that build should last him 6+ years or more easy (as long as he doesnt get too powerhungry overclocking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), especially considering hardware is already ahead of most software

It will not last him 6 years it will be outdated within a matter of months not years. I doubt he has sli 570's for anything other then gaming.. Sure they can be used for other things but mostly just gaming. Nice rig for sure.
