I plugged my UL12 into the wall today

so the industry has tanked and you are intentionally damaging expensive equipment? sweet man, thanks for proving my point for me.
Wow, you don't know me, you and I have never met talked or PMed. you read a couple threads and figure you know my story. You have made some very big assumptions.
First, I pay my taxes! I had a business tax issue through an accounting mistake, the IRS took their money, and if you look back, I was not overly negative about it!

Secondly, I am broke! I don't lie or try to appear as something I am not. I have made a lot of money in the past, and my industry has tanked, so now I am broke. Such is life. There have been many members on here that have offered to send me some funds to help out, and I have refused time and time again. I work **** hard for what I have, and for what I have lost, and if I want to put a fvcking torch to it, thats what I will do.

Thirdly, The UL12 that I was putting on 120v is a damaged sub, I wouldn't sell it to anyone no matter how broke I am.

So before you go spouting off with you jackassery, and showing what an ignorent *** you can be, get some facts!

And as for the 16 yr olds thinking I am cool, there are only people I worry about thinking I am cool and those are my sons!

WOW, open you mouth an show your ***?

it was already damaged, dumb ***!

You must have had one of those, "Lets destroy something nice" kinda thoughts....hmm....
It's not destroying. If it's getting a proper 60hz sine wave from the outlet, an average breaker being 15amps split between many recepticals, the sub would only get about 5K watts. That sub is rated that much, and should take more. It's not doing damage to it. It's just playing it at a lot of power.

Everyone believes that socketing a sub is insta-death. But if you don't remember, Jake from SD socketed one of his subs and played it for many minutes and it still works fine. Because higher end subs, which are rated 5K+ can take 5K+ watts constantly.

X2 plus these are CriticalMass they have pixie dust!

I thought what the hell, why not.
I plugged it in directly to the wall socket today, it took it but started smelling like hell after 30 sec or so.

110v I measured 54 amps so the way I see it it was getting 5900watts or so. Or am I calculating this wrong?

not bad IMO for a puss of a sub as so may people assume it is.

I packed it up for my move, but I may unpack it and take a video tomorrow.
You have a 50+ amp breaker in your house?

I used to build custom cabinets ans fabricate various mounts stands ... for the Home theaters, studios and homes I worked on. I had equipment that used stupid power when it was all running, So at the end of the day yep!
