Speaking of, I jsut boxed that thing up today, and the tweet pods. I hope to get them out tomorrow. I am moving back to Cayman and need to clear out the garage and the rest of the house for that matter. So I guess I am forced to finally follow through with my off:laugh:

how did you get 50+ amps out of a 110v outlet in your home? most are on a 15 or 20 amp breaker so a draw of 50 or more amps should have triped the breaker.

I plug junk subs into the wall socket all the time, I like it when the sub light on fire:laugh:

Just the other day me and a friend plugged his old Rockford P2 12'' in the the wall and it lasted about 2 minutes before it locked up. I remember plunging in a set of door speakers from a 1992 grand am and the tweeter lasted 0ver 10 minutes then it smoked out the whole kitchen.

I thought what the hell, why not.
I plugged it in directly to the wall socket today, it took it but started smelling like hell after 30 sec or so.

110v I measured 54 amps so the way I see it it was getting 5900watts or so. Or am I calculating this wrong?

not bad IMO for a puss of a sub as so may people assume it is.

I packed it up for my move, but I may unpack it and take a video tomorrow.

you would have tripped the breaker.. esp on a normal receptial...

Wow, you don't know me, you and I have never met talked or PMed. you read a couple threads and figure you know my story. You have made some very big assumptions.

First, I pay my taxes! I had a business tax issue through an accounting mistake, the IRS took their money, and if you look back, I was not overly negative about it!

Secondly, I am broke! I don't lie or try to appear as something I am not. I have made a lot of money in the past, and my industry has tanked, so now I am broke. Such is life. There have been many members on here that have offered to send me some funds to help out, and I have refused time and time again. I work **** hard for what I have, and for what I have lost, and if I want to put a fvcking torch to it, thats what I will do.

Thirdly, The UL12 that I was putting on 120v is a damaged sub, I wouldn't sell it to anyone no matter how broke I am.

So before you go spouting off with you jackassery, and showing what an ignorent *** you can be, get some facts!

And as for the 16 yr olds thinking I am cool, there are only people I worry about thinking I am cool and those are my sons!
