clipping signs?

the sound was more like the subs botteming out idk but no smells the subs are rated at 2500rms x 2 and are only seeing about 1500 per sub idk should i look to see if tensil leads are discolered as well and it has alumium coils how do i look at that all i ever had was cooper coils

i have them in 8 cubes after all dissplacments tuned to 33 hz just what the manufactuar calls for but i had bass turned abut 1/2 when this happed its off now subs still sound good as hell i just wont to be safe but haveing the bass up = clipping correct

Wow. That's weird. You're dealing with HWs and you don't even seem to know how to mess with your gains and HU control.

Really though. Check each coil's resistance, and don't clip any more, set your gains right. Turn that **** bass boost off.

Nice setup. I don't want to know how much you payed for it.

the gains were set with a dmm played fine for 4 months and tonight i was playing the new slim thug cd but like i said i backed down on the vol. and it still bumps like it did i just wont to make sure i did not hurt anything and i paid 2400 for amps and subs and did the rest myself but my best score todate is 154.xx meca rules

Look at discoloration of the leads, cracking in the spiders near the glue joints, check the solder joints make sure they're still in good shape, and take a look at the coil.

this is just a routine checkup ^^^

Get those amps on an oscope if your serious about keeping them pounding for a while. and 2ohms strapped with 3kw amps doesn't sound like 1500w a driver to me?!?!
