i need some suggestions on what kind of system i should get for my 1988 ford tempo. i was thinking of getting 2 hifonics goliath 10 subwoofers and a hifonics amp, but i dont know.

any suggestions?

What's your budget, that is the first step, because what I would recomend for $500 is much different that $2000. Also are you just looking for subs and an amp, or more than that? The better the details, the better the answer.

so you need a head unit, subs, amps, wiring kit? need new speakers too?

for good cheap amps look into directed, planet audio, lanzar opti. for cheap subs try some re se's, diamond cm3's, some old shivas. for headunits look into pioneer or clarion. what are trying to acheive with this setup?
