I'm slowing getting all the pieces together that I need to start my install. But it's got me beating my head against the wall. There is a whole lot I don't know. This is my first full install and I've got really nice equipment IMO and I really would like it done right. And I don't want to get ***** at a shop with their costs and how they like to do stuff.

Anyone in KC North area, or anywhere near KCMO that would like to help a n00b out with an installation, and possible Big 3? I will reward such a generous offer, with either cash or leftover 0ga or 4ga or whatever I don't use for the install.

Thanks.

You would be surprised how easy it really can be to do your own installs. Do some research, read up, and have at it. If you have a problem or question, search on here or ask some questions. Your typical install isn't really that hard at all with some common knowledge and patience.

reading up is a great idea and nothing is better than saying I did this, or what ever. But what I think he is trying to say is that he doesnt want nobody to do it for him, but want someone to show him the do's and donts. If I was in the KC are I would help you. I get alot of questions about wiring and how-to or what ever just around my neighborhood. My advice is dont ask a salesman, but if you could get someone here to help you then yes I believe that would be the option, but dont pay for shit. Thats my motto. Read My sig

Hit it on the head. And I like the sig. Thanks everyone.

My first question is basically, what do I use to connect the speaker wire inside of the box to the inside of the terminal?

Also, I have 2 D4 subs and I want to wire them to 2ohm load. So I go + to + on the sub to + on the terminal. Problem is, there is only one terminal on the box. So should I just twist the two positives off each sub together and attach them to the terminal? And would that affect what I use to attach them?

Third, since there is only one terminal, do I just run a single + and - to the amp, or should I have two + and two - come from the box and utilize all 4 of the amp's speaker input?

This is it for now. If I can get the subs wired up in the box correctly that will be a huge step out of the way. I just have tons of stuff laying on my floor and it's beginning to overwhelm me and make me feel like I can't do it. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

to connect the speaker wire, you could solder it to the speaker terminal, or crimp the wire to the speaker terminal.

I dont think you could wire 2 D4 subs to 2 ohms.

do you have a 2 channel amp or mono amp?

For reals? Well just looking through the book that came with my SX's it shows the + to + and - to - diagram and says it will equal a 2 ohm load with D4 subs. So i'm confused.

What ohm load would that get me?
